Roseland Community Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. In September 2008, Roseland Community Hospital achieved full accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP). The Hospital was last surveyed by HFAP in October of 2005 when it first achieved accreditation. Three years later, after an unannounced three day survey, the Hospital was successful in maintaining this full accreditation status. Some of the focus areas during the 2008 survey included medication safety, patient rights and compliance with the life safety and emergency management. This accreditation status is in effect for Roseland Hospital until 2011 when they will undergo another unannounced survey. TSG is pleased to have been brought in to consult and support the Roseland team.
Methodist Hospitals of Indiana, Gary and Merrillville, Indiana. In February 2009, The Methodist Hospitals of Indiana were successful in maintaining their Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) Accreditation. In February, both of the Methodist Hospital locations underwent an unannounced five day, full survey by HFAP. During this survey the Hospitals were examined on more than 700 different standards, ranging from patient care to environment of care. The accreditation is effective for three years; a tremendous accomplishment for any hospital to achieve. TSG was engaged to work with the Methodist Hospitals of Indiana team and we are proud of their accomplishment.
